About the Author: Vanessa Berry is a writer of autobiography and creative nonfiction, with interests in memory, history, place, archives and objects. She is the author of four books of autobiography and creative nonfiction, including most recently the essay collection, Gentle and Fierce (2021), which considers human and animal relationships and urban space, and Mirror Sydney (2017) an essay and hand-drawn map collection which examines urban environments, change, and marginal and overlooked places.
